Energy Domain MCP

Courthouse records and well data, inside the AI model you already use.

Title and production research is mostly logistics: log into a county portal, run the grantor index, order images, key fractions into a runsheet, reconcile it in a spreadsheet. Energy Domain's MCP servers connect TitleLab and Fundamentals to Claude and other MCP-compatible AI models. Ask in plain English and get the runsheet or analysis back, with every source cited.

THE PROBLEM

Title and production research is mostly logistics.

Retrieval Is Most of the Day

You know what you need: who owns the override on a tract, how a set of wells has produced, where the rigs are working. Getting there means county portals, grantor indexes, image orders, and fractions keyed into a runsheet. The thinking is a thin slice of the day. The retrieval is the rest.

General AI Can't See the Record

Land and engineering teams already use AI for email, documents, and spreadsheets. But those models can't see the county record, so they can't chain title on a tract or check what a seller actually owns.

Vendor AI Is Another Platform

Most oil and gas AI tools run inside the vendor's own platform. That means another login, another interface, and results stranded in a window you can't build on.

"Upstream decisions run on two sets of records: who holds the rights and what the wells are doing, or customers are already leveraging the most powerful frontier AI models to enhance their workflows. Until now, those models couldn't see the county record. A landman can now ask for a chain of title in plain English and get a runsheet back with every instrument cited."

CORE CAPABILITIES

What the MCP does.

  • Guided chain-of-title examination, from the patent to the current owners
  • Tract index sweep plus every grantor and grantee in the chain
  • Mineral, royalty, leasehold, and override interests as exact fractions with closure checks
  • Lease take-offs, active-lessee rankings, and estimated expirations by county
  • Well search by geography, operator, formation, or basin, and the full record by API number
  • Oil, gas, and water production history
  • Active rigs and where they are working
  • Like-for-like cohorts by Confirmed Interval, vintage, and spacing, normalized per effective lateral foot
How it works

A question goes in. Records, production, and files come back.

The MCP sits between your AI app and Energy Domain's structured data. You type a question. It works out what you're asking, calls the right source, and returns the answer as tables, records, and files. No query syntax, no export-and-reimport.

Chain-of-Title Examination

Given a tract, the TitleLab MCP sweeps the tract index and every grantor and grantee in the chain, reads the recorded images, resolves blanket conveyances, and builds the runsheet and ownership model from the patent to the current owners. Mineral, royalty, leasehold, and override interests come back as exact fractions with closure checks.

Lease Take-Offs and Leasing Activity

Build a lease take-off for a section, rank active lessees in a county, and list estimated expirations across recorded instruments in 30 Texas counties. Open any instrument for its parties, legal description, prior references, conveyed interests, and linked wells.

Wells, Production, and Offset Cohorts

In the same conversation, the Fundamentals MCP moves from the tract to the wells on it. It covers 4.5M+ U.S. wells and builds like-for-like cohorts by Confirmed Interval, vintage, and spacing, with production normalized per effective lateral foot and parent and child wells tagged.

Every Answer Carries Its Source

Instrument number, volume and page for recorded documents, and API number for wells, so an analyst can check any link against the recorded image. The servers honor your product and geographic entitlements on every call.
